The Breitenberg is very striking due to its wide ridge in the Allgäu Pre-Alps. Opposite lies the castle ruin Falkenstein on a small hill. King Ludwig II wanted to build his next castle there, probably because of the beautiful view.
The launch sites are located at an altitude of about 1690 m and face north, north-east, east and south-east. They are easily accessible in the immediate vicinity of the mountain station.
On a flight from Breitenberg you will experience a gigantic view of the Alpine foothills and Neuschwanstein Castle. The striking southern sides between Falkenstein/Salobergrat often offer us enough thermals to stay above for a long time from February onwards.
The landing site is located on a meadow above the Breitenbergbahn valley station in Pfronten. This can be reached by accompanying persons in only 3 minutes from the car parks of the Breitenbergbahn.
